Return of the Ridge Raiders[]

After learning that Boss Hogg is taking the money for the senior center to make a profit himself, he decides to take action. He and six others make up the Ridge Raiders group. They set up Boss’ Mines to blow when Jesse comes running up saying it’s not the legal way. He tells him ‘hog wash’ before saying this is how they did it forty years ago. Jesse reminds him that 40 years ago they were young moonshiners and they needed it then but things have changed. He tells Jesse that Boss hasn’t changed and is trying to steal the money from the senior center and they won’t let him. He signals for Jesse to move before blowing up the building. After celebrating they run away, leaving the detonator behind.

Later they meet up in the Coffin Works and are doing their opening pledge when Jesse arrives. Jesse says they will all end up in the ‘jug’ if they keep this up and he tells him not to start that up again. Jesse says if they give him a chance he will do it legally and that he has already wrote a letter to the governor and president of the U.S. Amos tells him while he keeps writing, they will keep dynamiting. Jesse says he’s headed for trouble and he left his detonator at the mine and it’s at the Duke Farm. He tells Jesse to keep it as he has a spare. They all laugh. He says for them to head out again. They go and blow up one of Boss’ still’s.

As he heads home about an hour later, he sees Bo and Luke driving the other way from his property. Bo waves to him as they pass and he smiles and waves back. Seeing the cops however he watches them crash and stops to check on them before laughing and heading home.

He and the others later meet Jesse at the Coffin Works and he tells Jesse that Boss is using the money for the senior center to make his ‘play pen’. Jesse says he knows it but that is no reason to take the law into their own hands. Jesse tells him if he keeps going like this someone is going to get hurt. He tells the others not to listen to Jesse as he’s getting old. Jesse wants to vote and he agrees. Everyone but Jesse votes to keep going. They decide to head out to ‘hit Boss Hogg where he lives’. As they go they are approached by Buster, Boss, and Enos. Before Boss and Buster can unmask them, Bo and Luke drop a barrel down the stairs and they all use the distraction to flee.

Amos is told by a friend of his that there is a truck of equipment coming for Boss Hogg’s ‘play pen’ that afternoon. He calls the others together to tell them. He suggests they steal it and they all move out. He uses his car to stop the truck. When the truck driver gets out they ambush him. After he and four of the others get in his car and he drives to a hideout.

After getting a call from Bo and Luke at home about Jesse being arrested for their hijacking, he rushes out to go meet them. He’s in such a hurry that he forgets his boots. His granddaughter calls him back to get them.

They all meet up and Amos expresses that they got Jesse into jail and now they are going to get him out. Luke says this isn’t going to be easy and it will be dangerous but they disregard his concern. He asks Newtie if he can get his old smoke machine going. He starts planning and when Luke questions it he tells him to trust them. Bo and Luke agree and Luke asks if he can get the old fire engine running to which he says it’s in better shape than he is. They finish planning together.

He and three of the ridge raiders get his fire truck ready. When he sees his car drive by with the Dukes, Newtie, and Henstep he tells the others to ‘let her go’. They spray the road and get is soaked, causing the other cars to spin out.

After they wait at the meeting point for Bo, Luke, Jesse, Newtie, and Henstep. Bo and Luke leave in the General and they go to get the hijacked truck.

They all bring the truck to the Court House and stand together. They put their hands up when Boss and the police first come out but Jesse tells them to put their hands down, which they do. Boss claims innocence but Jesse says they are wise to him, which he repeats. They are glad when Bo and Luke arrive. When Boss tells Coop that there is no fraud going on in Hazzard, he goes to argue but Jesse stops him. They are amazed when Boss drops the charges, has a salute done for them, and publicly hands over the items to the Senior Citizen Center to keep his crimes from being publicized. They quickly thank the Duke boys.

They attend the groundbreaking for the Senior Citizen’s Center. He dances at the celebration.
