Byron Cherry (April 17, 1955) is an actor. He portrayed Coy Duke in a part of season 5 of The Dukes of Hazzard TV series.
Life and Career[]
Byron Cherry was an Actor from Atlanta, Georgia. He was a long time friend of John Schneider's and initially wanted to audition for the part of Bo Duke. During a renegotiation of the contract he was called in to try for the part of Coy, Bo's replacement. He would begin a life long friendship with his other coworker Christopher Mayer, who played Vance Duke.
Bryon would continue to act in other series and films, including Murder, She Wrote and Vietnam War Story. He was also a spokesperson for the American Cancer Society.
