Enos in Trouble[]

They sit outside the Hazzard Depot as they watch Vance, Coy, and Enos arrive. When Burke expresses relief at the footlocker finally arriving, he comments that all they need to do now is go out, grab it, and they are rich. When they see the boys come out of the building with the footlocker, they put on masks and get out of the car. He approaches the group with a gun, addressing them as ‘friends’ and telling them to put down the trunk and not to move. The boys drop the trunk and he is suddenly attacked by Coy. Enos tries to help by grabbing him from behind but is thrown off. He and Coy fight and he begins to overpower Coy until Enos returns, hitting him from behind. The group then flee and he returns to the car with his partner. He drives as they chase the boys but spins out and loses them.

They find the tire stuck and they put sticks under it for traction. Burke threatens to kill Enos and the others if they get in his way again. He pats Burke’s knee saying ‘right’ and tells him to ‘get this crate out of here’. He tells Burke to push as he gets in the car. He drives as his partner pushes and they get it unstuck.

While driving around, they spot the General Lee. He turns around to continue chasing after them. When the General jumps, he attempts to follow but hits the log wrong and flips the car. When his partner asks didn’t he see the log, he snaps ‘I hit it didn’t I?!’ before climbing out of the car. As Burke starts to rant about the car, he tells him not to worry about it as they’ll get another car. He adds then they will find the owner of the orange car, showing his gun in a threat.

The two walk down the road when they see a pickup passing. They put out their thumb to hitchhike but the truck drives by them. Annoyed, he puts a hand on Burke’s shoulder to reassure him before they continue walking.

A while later a blue car passes and they flag the car down. When the driver asks where they are headed, he starts to answer but then pulls the man out of the car, gets in, and drives away.

They go to a nearby farm where they get out and ask the farmer about the General Lee. They learn the owners live at the Duke Farm and get directions.

He and his partner arrive at the Duke Farm and approach the house. He knocks at the door and when they receive no answer goes inside. He tears all the books out of the bookshelf before kicking at some furniture. Burke tells him the flashlight and half a million in emeralds are all gone. They agree they need to find the deputy and leave.

They drive up to a phone booth and Burke looks around before confirming the boys aren’t there. He suggests they monitor the CB. They listen, learning that Boss and Rosco know about the emeralds and hear Enos turn himself into Boss. He tells Burke they need to go because if Enos is going to talk to anyone it’s going to be them. He adds they need to spring Enos and when asked how, he tells Burke ‘The big city snow job’.

They arrive at the police station where they encounter Rosco at the door. They flash police badges at him, saying they are California Police before heading inside. After finding Boss and Enos, he says ‘you’re coming with us Strate.’ When Boss asks who they are, he says they are the California Police. Enos questions the story, saying that he just spoke to the Lieutenant an hour ago. Enos realizes they are the criminals. They grab Enos and he tells Boss not to try and follow them. They take Enos out to the car, ignoring Rosco and the Dukes and try to speed off. Coy runs out in the road to try and stop them but they ignore him, nearly running him over.

As he escapes from town, he hears Burke demand Enos tell them where the emeralds are and Enos refuses. When Enos continues to refuse to talk, he informs Burke they lost the people following them. He says they will turn off and then ‘really put the screws to him’.

They park at an old barn and he helps Burke pull Enos from the car and into the barn. Enos says they should be ashamed and to think of how their mom’s would react to what they are doing, furious he yells at Enos saying for him to talk. Enos remarks they can’t make up their minds as his partner said for Enos to shut up, and Burke starts to strange him to which Carter stops him.

When Enos refuses to say anything other than his required information, he tells Enos he better start talking. Enos continues to repeat the same. He looks over to see smoke and asks where it’s coming from. Burke says the building is on fire. They grab Enos and try to flee but as they go outside they trip on a rope being held by Vance and Coy. He gets up, pointing a gun at Vance and Coy saying for them to hold it where they are, calling them cowboys. They take Enos to the car and drive away.

As they drive, the Dukes manage to pull off the back door and Enos pushes Burke out of the car. Enos begins to wrestle with him, allowing Vance to jump onto the car from the General Lee. Vance and Enos manage to subdue him as Coy forces him to pull over. He’s pulled from the car and arrested.

He is taken to town and given to the California Police.
