Summary[]

A pair of crooks have been disguising as motorcycle cops and robbing drivers on the roads. Vance suspects that the robbers are Coy's new girlfriend, motorcycle stuntwoman Billie Ann Baxley (Shawn Weatherly), and her sister Kate Baxley (Bobbie Ferguson), but Coy refuses to believe Vance. It leads to a fight between Coy and Vance, causing Coy to leave the farm. Can Vance convince Coy of the truth?

Plot[]

Balladeer: Friends, you’re looking at a major cultural event. The state fair being held in Hatchapee County. Which everybody knows is right next to Hazzard County. And here come the Dukes after a high old time. You may notice Coy ain’t with them, but he ain’t far behind. Y’all may recognize the lady as Billie Ann Baxley, one of the stunt biking Baxley sisters that show at the fair. I figured you’d spot her. She and old Coy ain’t doing too bad huh?

Hatchapee County

After leaving the fairgrounds, Bace drives Jesse and Daisy home in the General Lee. Coy follows on a motorcycle with a woman on the back, Billie. Jesse remarks that he wishes Coy would be more careful and Daisy says she thinks that Coy is smitten on Billie. Vance agrees, saying they have had three dates in three nights. Coy pulls up alongside, teasing Vance saying that he’s slowing him down. Coy jumps the bike, getting in front of Vance, but Vance overtakes him again. They both jump a creek, enraging Jesse who orders them to stop and the boys immediately obey. Coy tells them that he’s going to take Billie to help her and her sister Kate get settled in town and he’ll be at the farm later. The others agree.

Town of Hazzard

Coy brings Billie into town, where Kate is waiting very unhappily. They greet each other and Kate is obvious about her dislike of Coy. Kate goes to get the bags and Coy is quick to protest, telling her to let him help. She reluctantly lets him as they go into the bed and breakfast.

Road

Boss happily comes back from the fair, singing about the bear he won with a number of balloons while Rosco drives, also happy.

Duke Farm

Cooter drops Coy off at the farm, and Coy thanks him before Cooter leaves saying he would stay and eat their food but Uncle Earl’s got a flat. Coy apologizes for being late and Vance and Jesse are a little annoyed. Vance reminds him of his responsibilities, saying they were supposed to seed the south forty but Daisy and Jesse brushes it off. Vance makes another comment about how there are still chores to do. Upset, Coy asks if Vance has an issue with him dating Billie Ann. Daisy and Jesse become a little on edge and Vance says he should just take it slow.

Road

Boss says he plans to give the massive teddy bear to Lulu. Rosco says he nearly threw his arms out with sixty six attempts to win a large clown doll for Flash. He lets go of the wheel to show Boss, alarming him instead. As they drive two police officers on motorcycles come up behind them. Boss wonders what they could be doing in Hazzard and the two come up alongside Boss’ car. They tell Rosco to pull over and Rosco tries to explain he is the Sheriff put they force him too. Rosco asks what are they doing in his jurisdiction and the two tell them to shut up and pull guns on them. One of the balloons goes and Boss becomes alarmed. The two pat them down and steal everything they have before shooting out the tires and leaving. Boss says they got his cufflinks, his new chain, and $862. Boss and Rosco are furious.

Barn

The sisters store the bikes in a barn, grinning about their accomplishment. When Billie alludes to enjoying her time with Coy, Kate gets annoyed and tells her that they have a good thing going and not to mess it up over Coy.

Police department

Boss charges into the Police Station, furious with his balloons and teddy bear to see Enos petting Flash. He informs Enos of what just happened and adds that they also got his diamond ring. Shocked Enos listens to them and Boss sends the tow out on patrol.

Duke Farm

Jesse, Daisy, and Vance are making dinner when Coy comes in, wearing a black dress jacket over his usual clothes and announces he’s on his way out. Daisy whistles and Jesse compliments his coat while Daisy asks if he is sure he isn’t staying for dinner since she is making shrimp jambalaya. Coy declines as he has a date with Billie Ann. He asks Vance if he can use the General but Vance ignores him to everyone’s surprise. Coy tries to laugh it off, asking what Vance doesn’t like about Billie Ann. Vance says he has a gut feeling that something is wrong with her and Coy becomes upset. The two argue a bit and Coy leaves saying he’ll take the General.

Daisy says she can’t stand it when the boys fight and Vance says he can’t either, but something isn’t right with Billie Ann and Kate.

Road

Coy drives with Billie Ann, saying they are going to the Boar’s Nest. Billie Ann expresses a disinterest in going to the Boar’s Nest and Rosco and Enos come up behind Coy, telling him to pull over through the C.B. Amused, Coy asks what for and Rosco tells him to pull over. They run into a construction site and Coy jumps over it. Rosco follows through the site, picking up a port-a-potty as he does to the construction workers amusement. Enos follows behind, surprised and tries to tell Rosco about it over the C.B. A construction worker tries to exit the toilet and Rosco stops. The toilet is knocked off and Enos and Rosco stop to check on the worker. Coy and Billie conclude they are alright and leave for their date. Meanwhile the worker comes out and Rosco asks what he’s doing there.

Billie asks if they are still going to the Boar’s Nest and Coy says he’s actually taking her to Lover’s Glen.

Lover’s Glen

Coy and Billie embrace by the river and she says it’s beautiful. Coy says he has some strong feelings about her and she tells him that he is the best thing to ever happen to her.

Duke Farm

The next day, Boss and Rosco arrive at the Farm where Vance, Daisy, and Coy are doing chores. Daisy wonders what they want. Rosco tells them that they have questions and Boss says he has a warrant. They explain they were robbed by two men on motorcycles. Jesse pokes his head out of the window asking what is going on. Rosco asks where they were the day before at four o’clock and Vance says they just got back from Hatchape. Boss and Rosco search anyway.

Road

Billie and Kate rob another car where they are spotted by Enos. Enos chases after them, startling the almost victim. The chase goes toward a lake where there is a number of men fishing and Enos accidently jumps into the lake, where one fisherman Jounier mostly ignores it and Bruce swims over to make sure Enos is alright. Enos apologizes for ruining the fishing but Bruce tells him it’s okay, it was a good jump. Another fisherman, Carson, swims over to also check on him. Enos also greets Junior, who just smiles and waves.

Duke Farm

Rosco and Boss search through the Duke Farm when they get a call from Enos saying he just witnessed the motorcycle cops again. The Dukes listen as Enos says they got away. Boss tells Enos to get to his office now. The Dukes are amused, reminding Boss that it can’t be the Dukes. Jesse tells Boss to get off the property and Boss and Rosco protest but obey. Jesse and Coy chase them out as Boss blames everything on Rosco. As Rosco tries to get in he pulls off the car handle. He tries to jump into the car and fails. Coy watches amused while an annoyed Jesse goes back inside.

Coy goes to return inside when he hears Jesse, Daisy, and Vance talking. Vance says there is just as much chance as two women being the motorcycle thieves as two men. Daisy asks if he means Billie Ann and Kate, and Jesse cautions him that Coy will not be happy to hear that. Furious, Coy storms in, snapping at Vance saying all Vance wants is for them to break up. Vance says that isn’t’ it and Coy goes to attack him but is pulled back by Jesse and Daisy. They both scold Coy but Coy says that it’s all Vance’s fault and he’s leaving. Coy tries to storm off and they try to stop him. Coy says he can’t talk to them about this and he’s moving out, going to live with Cooter for a bit. Daisy allows him to take Dixie and the Vance goes outside to watch Coy leave.

Jesse says he never thought he would see Coy and Vance fight. Vance says he really hurt Coy this time and Daisy says if that is how he thinks, they should go after Coy. Her and Vance leave and Jesse shakes his head, commenting ‘kids.’

Road

Vance and Daisy catch up to Coy in the Jeep and ask him to pull over. Coy says they have talked enough and he doesn’t want to hear any apologizes from them. Vance says he will get his say and they continue the chase. Coy accidently causes a truck to block the road, forcing Vance and Daisy to jump it. Vance spins off the road and Coy stops, calling to make sure they are okay. Daisy responds on the C.B. that they are okay and they still want to talk. Coy says not now and to leave him be for a bit before leaving. Vance says now he wants to check out his feeling and prove either way if Billie Ann is involved. They decide to call Enos.

Cooter finishes fishing Enos out of the pond and waves goodbye as he drives off. Enos meanwhile talks to Vance and Daisy on the road saying they were real good with bikes, describing how they drove and Vance recognized it as a stunt they pulled at the fair.

Duke Farm

Jesse called a friend of his, Horace Mockett, to ask about Billie Ann and Kate as he ran the fair. After he gets off the phone with Horace, he calls Vance on the C.B. and explains Horace didn’t know much about the sisters.

Road

Vance says he wants to look in the girls van to see if the motorcycles and police uniforms are there, annoying Daisy as she thought they were trying to prove the girls innocent. Vance says they have to check it out.

Garage

Coy comes down from the loft and Cooter tells him he can use it for as long as he wants but he does request Coy to think over leaving the farm. Coy says he will, but he needs to simmer down first. Coy says he is picking up the sisters to go to the Boar’s Nest.

Outside Vance is looking at the van, not seeing Coy come by. Coy happens to look over and see Vance trying to get into the van. Furious, he yells at Vance saying he just won’t give up and he’s taken all he is willing to take. Coy pulls him down and Vance tries to talk to him but Coy takes a swing anyway. When Coy hits him, Daisy runs over. Vance blocks the rest of Coy’s hits before knocking him into the van. Daisy tries to pry them apart but they are wrestling around. Finally Daisy gets between them, yelling that they ought to be ashamed of themselves. Kate and Billie Ann come running out and Coy explains what happened. Kate says if Vance really wants to see what is inside to go ahead an open it, they won’t stop him. Vance opens it to see it was empty. Kate asks what he was expecting to find and Coy tells them that Vance suspects them of being the motorcycle thieves, to Kate’s outrage. When Coy says it’s all to break them up, Daisy becomes upset saying that isn’t what is going on. Vance says he was wrong and he is sorry he thought wrong of them. He tries to shake Coy’s hand, but Coy ignores him so Vance and Daisy leave. Kate and Billie Ann then leave with Coy to get food.

In the General, Daisy tells Vance not to take it so hard. Vance says he never thought they would fight like this and wonders how he could be wrong. He and Daisy head home.

Boar’s Nest

Boss slaps Rosco’s hand when he tries to eat Boss’ popcorn and yells at Rosco and Enos, the latter of which goes to attention, and asks how his stuff is still missing. Boss takes their badges before making Enos the temporary sheriff. Enos protests and Boss changes their hats as well. Boss tells Enos to send Rosco out on patrol and Enos politely asks him to do so. Rosco is furious at first but then whimpers as he obeys. He goes out to the car and cries to Flash, asking if she’s ashamed of him.

Inside, Boss tells Enos about how he’s worried about how the motorcycle cops will come in and steal his cash receipts, especially tonight since tonight is Saturday night. He asks for Enos’ advice and Enos says he will take a run of the money to bank vault in town tomorrow morning. Boss agrees happily. Enos is dismissed but trips on a chair, making Boss wince, especially as he hears Enos stumble around outside due to not being able to see with Rosco’s hat. As he goes outside, Kate, Billie Ann, and Coy arrive. Coy notices the hat and badge and asks about it. Enos explains what happened to the girls and Coy’s amusement. Coy shakes his hand before introducing the girls and inviting Enos to join them tomorrow morning. Enos politely declines saying he’s got some official business in the morning. Kate pushes the issue and Enos admits to Coy and the girls about moving the cash receipts to the bank in the morning.

Boar’s Nest

As the three Dukes sit down to dinner, Daisy says it doesn’t feel right with an empty seat at the table. Jesse adds the empty seat in the General. The phone rings and Jesse answers it. Horace is calling him and he tells Jesse about talking to another former boss of the girls. Apparently, the girls did a fine job but there was a payroll truck held up by a couple of motorcycle cops. Jesse learns theft by fake motorcycle cops seem to follow the two sisters. He hangs up and informs Vance and Daisy. Daisy and Vance realize that the girls really are the motorcycle cops and Jesse tries to say they don’t know anything yet but the two determine there is too much evidence. They agree to start watching the sisters round the clock, with Vance taking the first shift at dawn.

Town of Hazzard

At dawn, Billie Ann and Kate go to the van, packed to go. Billie Ann asks for one more week in Hazzard but Kate says if they stay they will end up in jail. As they leave, Vance watches from the bushes. He follows them in the General Lee out of town.

Boar’s Nest

Enos and Rosco arrive at the Boar’s Nest, where Boss is already waiting. The two rush to get inside.

Road

Billie Ann and Kate fight while on the road about Coy. Kate says she is tired of arguing and if Billie Ann wants, she can stay in Hazzard with Coy but she is leaving. Kate pulls off the road to the hide out and Vance drives by, not having seen it.

Barn

The sisters get out to get the bikes ready.

Not seeing the girls, Vance realizes they turned off and turns to find the barn where the girls are hiding the truck. He sneaks up to the barn to see Billie Ann getting ready inside. Vance is upset and goes inside, confronting Billie Ann. Kate comes up behind Vance with a gun and tells Billie Ann to tie up Vance. Vance tries to get the gun from her and Billie Ann freezes for a moment before ultimately deciding to remain with her sister and knocking Vance unconscious. They tie up Vance and despite Billie Ann’s pleas, Kate says they are doing the job.

Garage

After being unable to get ahold of Vance, Jesse and Daisy head to the garage. They call for Coy, who comes down from the loft and Jesse cautions Coy not to get mad as they tell him what they learned. Coy gets upset and says they are brainwashed. He insists that Billie Ann couldn’t be a thief. Daisy admits Vance is following the girls but they haven’t heard from him. Coy is furious and says that they will go find everyone and sort this whole mess out. Jesse and Daisy follow, more worried than anything.

Boar’s Nest

Boss and Rosco pack away the money while Enos stands guard.

Road

Kate and Billie Ann leave, Kate saying they will take care of Vance later. Vance is awake again, watching them leave from where he’s tied up on the ground.

Town of Hazzard

Coy comes out of the boarding house to learn the girls left. Coy is devastated and Jesse says they can find the girls but Daisy says it’s Vance they need to find. Coy, still shocked by the fact Billie Ann left without so much as a note, remarks he can’t believe she lied to him but the other Dukes take him to the car.

Boar’s Nest

Enos and Rosco exit the Boar’s Nest to ensure the motorcycle thieves arent’ there. Boss then loads the car while the two officers startle each other and discharge their weapons. Boss insists its time to go and Enos and Boss go in Enos’ car while Rosco gets in his.

Road

Kate and Billie Ann set up an ambush for the officers. Daisy, Jesse, and Coy meanwhile are in Dixie looking for Vance. Vance meanwhile is trying to get free of the ropes. He manages to get to his feet and hop toward the van.

Jesse gets frustrated and Daisy says they can get lucky. Jesse calls for Vance on the CB and Vance gets the gag off his mouth before knocking the CB mike down. He uses his boots to push down the button before calling back to Jesse. The other Dukes are excited and Vance tells them he’s at the old cowshed in Pruitt’s Hollow.

Enos and Rosco continue down the road and Billie Ann starts getting nervous but Kate assures her they will be there. Meanwhile the Dukes find Vance and cut him free. Vance tells them he’s never been happier to see them. Coy states this was Billie Ann and Kate, which Vance confirms. Coy says he owes him an apology but Vance brushes it off. The Duke kids hug before asking where the sisters would go. Coy admits that he spoke to Enos the day before and he let it slip that a big money movement was happening from the Boar’s Nest to the Bank. The Duke Family rush off to stop them. Coy and Vance take the General and Daisy and Jesse take Dixie.

Enos leads the convoy of money, Rosco asking ‘Sheriff Enos’ how it is. The sisters see the two coming and Billie Ann sadly follows Kate’s lead. The two chase after Rosco and Enos, startling all three in the cars. Boss cries for his money as the sisters start shooting into the air. Rosco pulls up alongside Enos, asking what next. Enos tells him to take evasive action, saying for Rosco to turn right and he’ll turn left. They both turn left, running off the road and into a ditch. Kate and Billie stop, holding them at gunpoint and telling them to hand over the money. The two drive away and Boss, furious by this turn of events, reinstates Rosco and demotes Enos. The Dukes all arrive and Boss tells them what happened. Boss orders the Dukes to chase after the thieves, which Vance and Coy do while Daisy picks up the other three. Coy and Vance head back to the hideout, and Vance apologizes to him for everything.

Barn

The sisters return to realize Vance is gone and their cover is blown. The sisters hear a car and realize they need to run. They get on their stunt bikes and drive off. Coy and Vance give chase. They all jump over a creek, the General hanging on. The sisters try to lose them through a drain pipe but Coy goes around. They jump over a construction site but Coy does as well. Kate starts shooting at them, to Billie Ann’s fury since Coy is back there. When Kate hits the windshield, she says she can’t let Kate risk Coy, and causes them both to fall. The General catches up and the boys get out, Vance getting Kate and Coy checking Billie Ann. Billie Ann tearfully apologizes and Coy says they really could have been something.

Balladeer: So the mystery of the two crooked smokeys was solved, and left Coy with a broken heart. But things weren’t all bad, at least Boss had his money back, Rosco had his job back, and the Dukes? Well, they had Coy back. And everybody knows, when you get the family right things tend to work out for the better. Especially in Hazzard County.

Town of Hazzard

Enos takes Kate and Billie Ann away. Coy refuses to look at Billie Ann and the rest of the Dukes, Cooter, Boss, and Rosco watch from the curb. Coy then watches Enos car as it leaves town. Boss and Rosco celebrate the return of the money and Coy goes to his family. Cooter reaches out to console him but Coy moves over to Vance, who pulls him into a one armed hug.
