Summary[]

Boss has a scam running through the mail to sell non-existent properties, and when state postal inspector Sue Ann Blake (Diane Lander) comes to Hazzard, Boss frames Hazzard postmaster Emma Tisdale (Nedra Volz) for the whole thing. The Dukes hide Emma while they try to clear her name, but the Dukes end up on the run themselves. Now they have to save Emma and themselves from Boss and Sue Ann. Not only that, but Emma has fallen for Jesse.

Plot[]

Balladeer: Hazzard county, where there are certain basics that you can count on. The law of gravity for instance. That says that any car that goes up, usually comes back down. The Duke Family, y’all know all about them. And Miz Emma Tisdale. She delivers the US mail with lots of tender, lovin’ care. In addition to being the postmistress, Miz Tisdale is also the hottest two-wheeler in town. Miz Emma cooks. She also happens to be awful sweet on Uncle Jesse.

Road

The Dukes are out in the General, driving on the dirt roads. Bo is driving with Jesse in the front seat and Luke and Daisy in the back. As they pass Miz Tisdale, Bo honks the horn and the Dukes all wave. Miz Tisdale catches up to them on her bike and Jesse yells for her to be careful. She says mail has to go through before driving off. Daisy says she has a hook baited for Jesse and Bo asks why doesn’t Jesse give her a break and invite her to the next Grange dance. Jesse asks why doesn’t Bo keep his eyes on the road.

Up ahead Cletus puts a while line down on the road. All the Dukes are surprised to see it and Cletus comes after them. Jesse curses saying the Grange meeting took longer than he thought and they are late for the chores now. Bo says that is all he had to hear before speeding off. Cletus crashes into a water truck, getting soaked.

Post Office

Miz Tisdale arrives at the Post Office to see Slocum waiting. They go inside and she makes him show his ID and take a number. After he goes to take the large bag of mail and Miz Tisdale asks about the extreme large amount of mail he receives. He reminds her it’s against regulation to ask before leaving. She watches him, suspicious.

Saw Mill

Slocum arrives at the Post Office with the mail where Boss is waiting along with Rosco. They dump out the mail bag and open the envelopes for the $100 in each one. Boss explains his Hazzard Highlands scam that he’s put in a number of out of town papers about selling property for $100. Rosco pulls the article out of Boss’ hands to read it. The three celebrate their scam and Boss tells Rosco to put some fancy certificates in the envelopes to mail out so they give the ‘suckers something for their $100.’

Road

After dropping off Jesse and Daisy at the farm, the boys head to town. As they approach an intersection, another car hits it at the same time. Luke pulls over to avoid an accident and the driver returns, apologizing. Sue Ann Blake gets out at the same time as the boys and apologizes to them. Bo and Luke both think she’s pretty and they tell her they’re fine. Bo introduces them and she shakes their hands introducing herself. She asks them if they have heard of Hazzard Highlands and shows them the certificate she got for buying part of it. Both tell her that they have never heard of it but Bo offers to take her around personally.

Saw Mill

While Slocum and Rosco set up the certificates, Boss gets a phone call, tipping him off about an investigation into a mail fraud scam. The three decide to pin the scam on Miz Tisdale. Slocum leaves and Boss tells Rosco to go plant evidence around the Post Office.

Post Office

Rosco arrives at the post office and goes inside. Miz Tisdale remarks that she’s glad to see him and asks if he can mind the place for a few minutes as she needs to take her motorcycle to Cooter’s for its thousand mile checkup. She leaves and Rosco beings to plant evidence around the office. Sue Ann Blake comes in and introduces herself as the postal inspector. Rosco tells her that Miz Tisdale had been acting strange and he was looking into why. The two look around and find the certificates Rosco had just planted for Hazzard Highlands.

Bo and Luke pull up outside, seeing the car. Luke says that the car belongs to the sweetheart who gave Bo the brush off. Bo frowns but remarks ‘if at first you don’t succeed’. The boys go inside to hear Rosco and Sue Ann claim that Miz Tisdale is guilty. Luke asks what she is guilty of and Sue Ann says she has to ask them not to interfere. Rosco explains that Sue Ann is an official government postal inspector and Miz Tisdale if guilty of mail fraud. Bo and Luke are stunned, Luke saying the only thing Miz Tisdale is guilty of is having a ‘yen for Uncle Jesse’. Rosco sends them away. Luke says Boss has to be involved in this and Bo says he saw her going to Cooter’s.

Hazzard Garage

Bo and Luke arrive to see Billy Joe Fong welding is wok. As the boys talk to him, Cooter and Miz Tisdale come out of the Garage. Cooter tells her she can use that motorcycle while he fixes hers. She comments that she hopes it won’t cut her speed. Bo and Luke approach them and tell Miz Tisdale and Cooter about the mail fraud accusations, shocking them all. Miz Tisdale decides to go over and confront them about it but Luke stops her saying it looks like a set up and they want her to hide out in the farm for a bit. She adamantly refuses before realizing that Uncle Jesse is there and changes her mind, agreeing. Cooter notices Rosco coming out of the post office and Bo asks Miz Tisdale to get in the General. She agrees but Cooter and Luke take her helmet and shall. As Bo helps Miz Tisdale in the General, Luke asks Billy Joe to do them a favor. Billy Joe immediately agrees and the three disguise him as Miz Tisdale and get him on the motorcycle. As Billy Joe drives off, Bo realizes they didn’t ask Billy Joe if he could ride a motorcycle. Billy Joe drives around the square, yelling in Chinese. Billy Joe almost accidentally hits the three of them. As Rosco and Sue Ann chase after Billy Joe; the boys go back to the General and Cooter tells them to holler if they need anything. Watching everyone leave, Cooter remarks it’s a crazy town.

Road

Rosco and Sue Ann continue to chase Billy Joe and Sue Ann becomes upset that he is paying more attention to Flash than driving. She yells when Rosco goes through a number of road barriers and glares at Rosco.

Bo and Luke continue on the road, passing by Cletus’ speed trap. Cletus chases after them and Miz Tisdale cheers in the back. Bo takes a hard turn and Cletus ends up in a large amount of water. He gets mad, getting out of the car and yelling for Bo to come back. In anger he kicks the car and falls into the water.

Duke Farm

The boys and Miz Tisdale arrive at the farm and Jesse tells her that she is welcome. They conclude its likely Boss who is framing her. Hearing a motorcycle outside Bo looks out the window and sees Billy Joe. He tells Billy Joe to put the motorcycle in the barn and the boys will take him back to town. Billy Joe agrees. As he does BO turns back to the others, laughing and saying ‘he’s some piece of work.’ Luke says they should head back to town. Bo, Luke, and Daisy all leave.

Police Department

Boss pops popcorn as he and Rosco talk to Sue Ann. Boss says while Miz Tisdale has never been in trouble with the law, she’s a little crazy. Sue Ann argues that she doesn’t see how Miz Tisdale could run this entire operation by herself and swears to find out who is helping her before leaving the office. As Sue Ann leaves the popcorn machine goes out of control. Boss and Rosco try to turn it off but Boss breaks the leaver and Rosco takes off the top, causing popcorn to go everywhere. Rosco pulls the plug.

Outside Bo and Luke pull up to see Sue Ann walking and say they need to speak to her. They try to explain that Miz Tisdale couldn’t run an operation like that alone and Miz Tisdale told them about a ‘John Smith’ who was picking up the mail. Annoyed, Sue Ann tells them to stay out of it before walking away. Boss and Rosco look out the window to see the boys talking to Sue Ann. Boss says that if she is so intent on having someone else guilty they should accommodate her. Outside Bo and Luke decide to look into John Smith. Inside Boss tells Rosco to take some evidence to the Duke Farm to plant evidence. Rosco decides to have a snack before leaving, plugging in the popcorn machine and causing it to send popcorn everywhere to Boss’ anger.

Duke Farm

Rosco arrives at the Duke Farm from the back. In the living room the four Dukes talk to Miz Tisdale, Bo and Luke showing her the Capital City Gazette with the Hazzard Highlands ad in it. Luke decides to go call Scoop. Luke asks Mabel to connect him to Scoop Whittman at the Capital City Gazette. In the barn Rosco is planting the evidence when he finds Miz Tisdales’ motorcycle. He goes out to his car to radio Boss and tell him that they are ready to go and he’ll meet him at Old Mill Crossroads.

Police Department

Excited, Boss and Cletus run outside to see Sue Ann. Boss tells her that Rosco found Miz Tisdale and they need to leave. The three get in Cletus’ car and head to the Duke Farm.

Duke Farm

Luke thanks Scoop before telling them that the person who took the ad said it was a man named John Smith who paid in cash. Daisy says the guy behind it must be loaded with cash. Jesse says if JD is involved then he’s laying low.

Old Mill and Tomkin’s Hollow Crossing

Boss and his group meet up with Rosco, who tells them that Miz Tisdale is currently hiding at the Duke Farm. Boss tells Cletus and Rosco that they are going to flank the Farm. Boss reminds them all to keep their CB off and go their separate ways.

Duke Farm

Boss asks Cletus that he has his CB turned off. Cletus agrees and pushes a button to prove it, turning on the siren. In the farm house, Bo says it’s a raid and Daisy says they must have figured out Miz Tisdale was there. They decide to scatter, Daisy in the jeep and the boys in the General giving cover so Jesse and Miz Tisdale can slip through. Miz Tisdale insists on using her motorcycle instead of the jeep, which Jesse reluctantly agrees to.

Bo and Luke see Rosco and Luke doesn’t budge on the road, causing Rosco to run off and hit a tree. Daisy run at Cletus, causing him to run through a hay pile. Rosco gets back on the road but the hood is up. Cletus reverses out of the hay pile but Luke and Daisy use their cars to stop them, allowing Miz Tisdale and Jesse to pass. Bo cheers her on and Rosco and Cletus find themselves unable to follow.

Road

The four Dukes and Miz Tisdale stop, discussing what to do now that they escaped. Bo remarks they need to find a place for them to hide out and Daisy says Cooter’s is out as everyone would look there. Luke suggest Billy Joe Fong’s as he already offered to help and he’s got a storeroom in the back of his CB shop. Jesse tries to go ride with the boys but Miz Tisdale makes him sit down as she drives away in her motorcycle.

Billy Joe Fong’s CB and Radio’s

Billy Joe happily welcomes the group to his shop and takes them in the back to offer them some food but the group is a little put off by it and politely decline. Miz Tisdale wants to go after the people who framed her but agrees to stay at the radio shop if someone will stay with her, cuddling up to Jesse to imply she wants it to be him. Luke, Daisy, and Bo all become amused and agree for Jesse to stay, despite his protests.

Town of Hazzard

Cletus, Boss, Sue Ann, and Rosco arrive in town and Sue Ann expresses her displeasure at the operation. Misunderstanding, Cletus thanks her saying they try to please and Boss says he was born stupid and has been losing ground ever since. Sue Ann tells them she will be in the post office  before leaving. Rosco calls Cletus a dipstick but Cletus says dipsticks are rich because they’re in oil. Rosco is amused and Boss yells that they are a disgrace to the uniform. He sends them to find the Dukes and expresses he’s bringing in reinforcements of his own. Specifically Solcum. Boss says when the shipment of mail comes to Hazzard at 8 the next day, he intends to make it a special delivery.

Road

The Dukes look around for Boss, bringing along Cooter. Daisy checks the Indian Caves, Bo and Luke check a number of still sites and they all radio in.  In the radio shop, Jesse talks to them while Miz Tisdale plays with his hair. Jesse tells the boys to go to the Coffin Works before shouting at Miz Tisdale to stop, amusing the kids.

Rosco and Cletus spot Bo and Luke and decide to drive side by side to block the road. Bo turns down a side road and Cletus drives in some water, running Rosco off the road in the process. Rosco stops to yell at Cletus as he falls into the mud.

Next morning Bo and Luke, Daisy, and Cooter continue their search. Bo and Luke spot Slocum’s car, Luke recalling Miz Tisdale telling them about his car. They turn to chase after the car.

Saw Mill

Bo and Luke follow Slocum and Nelson to the saw mill and sneak up to the bushes to watch. Inside Boss and Rosco lay out the plan for the heist, saying the mail truck always arrives at the Post Office at 8 am. Boss tells them what to do after getting the mail bags but they hear Luke open the door to the saw mill. Alarmed, Boss and Rosco dash outside to hide and Slocum and Nelson put on masks. Bo and Luke go into the saw mill and start looking around. While they are turned the other way, Nelson and Slocum come up behind them with shovels. Before they can hit them, Bo spots Nelson and they fight for the shovels. Slocum manages to pull out his gun and Bo and Luke freeze, allowing Nelson to tie them up.

Outside Boss and Rosco watch and Rosco says it’s a bad time for them to show up and Boss says that it couldn’t be better if he wished it from the tooth fairy, baffling Rosco. Inside Nelson finishes tying and gagging Bo and Luke before he and Slocum goes back outside. Outside Boss tells them this just made things easier and orders Nelson to go back in and get one of their wallets. Slocum realizes that they are going to ‘drop’ it during the heist. Nelson goes back in and takes Bo’s wallet to his confusion. Outside, Boss, Rosco, Nelson, and Slocum start tearing apart the General’s engine while the boys find they still have their knives.

Bo tells Luke to give him his knife to which Luke tells him to be careful and Bo says ‘I trust me’. Boss and the others head to town to steal the bags. Inside Bo cuts Luke free, asking if he ever thinks about sharpening it. Luke then cuts Bo free. As they stand up Bo asks what they took his wallet for as he only had three bucks in it. Luke says it also had his ID in it and they are probably setting the boys up. Bo says they haven’t figured out how to pin Boss in it and Luke finds one of Boss’ cigars. Bo points out its early and Luke realizes he’s going to rob the post office. Outside they find the General is torn apart. Bo starts finding parts while Luke tries to put everything back.

Town of Hazzard

Nelson and Slocum arrive in a back alley in town. They put on their masks and Slocum goes toward the bank. Sue Ann comes out to pick up the mail. The driver of the van puts the bags on the curb and leaves, to her annoyance. As she tries to take them in, Slocum comes over and takes the mail at gunpoint. As he leaves, he drops Bo’s wallet. Sue Ann picks it up as Boss and Rosco arrive. They decide to head off after the thieves.

Saw Mill

Bo and Luke start the General, celebrating at the success before driving away.

Billy Joe’s

Jesse gets frustrated at not hearing from Bo and Luke. He is even more annoyed by how much interest Miz Tisdale is showing in him.

Road

Boss tells Rosco that everything is working perfect. He says when they get to the hide out he’ll pay off his two men and send them on their way. Rosco says then he will arrest the boys.

Billy Joe’s

Jesse and Miz Tisdale hear Cletus calling the Sheriff over the CB saying Bo and Luke just robbed the post office. Shocked, Miz Tisdale and Jesse decide to leave and find out what is going on.

Road

Bo and Luke hear Cletus calling and Bo says Luke was right about the frame up and Luke says they need to catch the thieves.

Post Office

Cletus continues to call for help before seeing Sue Ann. He tells her that the boys just robbed the post office and they need to chase them. He asks if she will ride with him but she says not on his life before getting in her own car and driving away. Cletus watches her go but Miz Tisdale and Jesse speed by. Jesse yells for him to look out and he jumps into a puddle by accident. Cletus comments he’s going to have to get a wet suit.

Road

Nelson and Slocum headed to the hideout with Boss and Rosco behind them. Sue Ann is headed after them with Jesse and Miz Tisdale behind her. Bo and Luke start coming at the four vehicles from the other direction. The boys see Slocum before turning around, getting between Nelson and Rosco’s cars. Nelson jumps the creek, which the boys follow. Boss and Rosco succeed in the jump as well and Rosco tells the boys to pull over. The boys ignore him and Rosco pulls up along them, ramming into the General. Rosco tries to cut Bo off but accidently runs himself off the road. He continues the chase.

Jesse yells at Miz Tisdale to slow down. Having taken another road, Miz Tisdale comes out in front of Slocum and Nelson. She drives straight at them before separating the side car. They go on either side of the car, causing the car to run off the road. Jesse ends up in a bush and yells for her. She goes back for him. Bo and Luke pull up by Nelson and Slocum. They pull the two out as Boss and Rosco arrive. Boss tells Rosco to arrest Bo and Luke but Luke shows him the evidence they have to link Boss to the scam. Sue Ann arrives and Boss tells her they just captured the real crooks, having Rosco arrest Nelson and Slocum.

Balladeer: And as quick as you can say double cross, old Boss did a switch. He not only turned over Slocum and his pal in as the two masked crooks that framed the Dukes, but he laid off the mail fraud on him too. And in return Bo and Luke agrees not to blow the whistle on ol’ Boss if he sent all the money back to the people he bilked in his mail scam. And as for Miz Tisdale, not only did she receive a commendation but Jesse admired her gumption so much that he finally broke down and invited her to go out cat-fishing with him. And it wasn’t even fishing season in Hazzard County. I sure do like happy endings, don’t everybody?

Post Office

Sue Ann presents Miz Tisdale with a commendation in front of the post office. Boss, Rosco, the Dukes, and Cooter are all present among others. Jesse asks her out.
