Summary[]

Bo and Luke stumble upon a bag full of stolen credit cards that two thieves named Dickens (David Hayward) and Clark (Billy Ray Sharkey) stashed away. When Boss Hogg gets his hands on the cards, he plans to sell the cards, and frame the Dukes for the theft of the cards. Lulu decides that it is time for the women of Hazzard to take their place beside the men, whether the men like it or not, so she forms the Hazzard Equal Rights Society (HERS), and Daisy joins Lulu. Lulu tries to take over half of Boss Hogg's business interests, including his used car lot, and she ends up selling a car to Sheriff Little -- unaware that Boss Hogg has hidden the stolen credit cards in one of the car's door panels.

Plot[]

Balladeer: It was one of them normal laid back days in Hazzard. Bo and Luke were laying low from a Boss Hogg bum rap and had gone fishing, which is a great way to hide out. Lulu Hogg was causing more trouble than a newborn baby. As president of Hazzard’s Equal Rights Society which meant all women were to become more equal than all men. And Cletus was tearin’ up tires trying to get rid of his last speeding ticket so he wouldn’t have to pay it. One of Boss’ new rules. Just a normal day in Hazzard. ‘Course Cletus had no way of knowin’ the car that he was chasing was no ordinary speeder. One of the nice things about living in Hazzard is that you can get off to Sunset Lake for a little peace and quiet. That is, peace and quiet Hazzard Style.

Bo drives the General toward the fishing hole, passing a billboard for Lulu Hogg’s H.E.R.S or the Hazzard Equal Rights Society. Down the road Cletus is chasing after two men in a black car.

Cletus chases two men, Dickens and Clark, to get rid of his last speeding ticket. The two men, who have over a million dollars’ worth of stolen credit cards decide they need to flee. Bo and Luke, parking at Sunset Lake, get their fishing poles out of the General when they hear the approaching siren. They pause to watch the car go by and Bo says it has to be Cletus as Rosco’s siren is higher pitched. They conclude Cletus can’t be after them and Luke asks if Bo forgot the fishing permits when Bo says no. They watch the black car go by as the men toss out a bag. Curious the boys put down their fishing poles and go to the bag. They open it finding the cards and Bo says there is no names, leading Luke to conclude they are stolen. The boys grab the bag and run to the General, calling Jesse.

Duke Farm

Jesse tells the boys they need to turn the bag over to Rosco. Luke protests that Rosco will use them and Jesse says to give it to Rosco in front of witnesses.

Sunset Lake

Bo and Luke decide to head to town, leaving the poles. Cletus gives the two men a ticket and they return to get the bag.  After looking around and being unable to find it they remember the orange car by the side of the road. They decide to leave to find the owners.

Road

Bo and Luke are concerned about giving the cards to Rosco. Meanwhile Rosco and Flash chase after them. Luke says they can’t give Rosco the cards without witnesses and Bo decides to lead him to town. Rosco calls them on the CB telling them to stop. Luke tells him they will do it in Hazzard but Rosco threaten to add a number of crimes to their charges. Annoyed Luke tells Bo to pull over.  Bo does, and Rosco, having not expected it, drives past. Bo honks to get his attention and Rosco comes back. Luke and Bo try to tell him about the cards but Rosco doesn’t listen. The boys ends up dumping the cards on Rosco and fleeing. Rosco collects all the fallen cards and goes back to his car intending to chase them but Flash is taking a restroom break.

Bo vents to Luke as they leave and Luke asks if Bo has anything to say that he doesn’t already know. The two men in the black car continue to look for the boys.

Boar’s Nest

Boss is working out on a bike when Lulu comes into his office with a basket. Boss thinks she is bringing him lunch. Lulu tells Boss that she has decided to set an example for her H.E.R.S. organization by taking up her legal obligations to be Boss’ fulltime partner in all business enterprises. Boss is shocked and decides he can’t discuss this. He tries to eat the food she brought and she tells him from now on he will also be making his own meals. Boss protests that a woman’s place is in the home to which Lulu says it’s not. Boss gets angry, protesting against it. Lulu leaves and Boss gets a call from Rosco. Rosco tells him to meet him in his office in fifteen minutes as he has evidence to put the boys away. Annoyed at Rosco’s comments about his hair Boss writes off both Lulu and Rosco.

Lulu and Daisy talk at the bar. When Lulu asks what kind of work is this for a women, Daisy says it’s about the only kind of work Boss will hire her for and it’s not that bad as she gets 25% of all the tips she earns. Lulu decides to hire Daisy to work for H.E.R.S. at double the pay and Daisy agrees.

Road

Luke calls Jesse and explains what happened. Luke says for now they will lay low. Bo asks what Luke’s plan and when Luke asks what Bo is talking about, Bo reminds him of the plan he just told Uncle Jesse he had. Luke says he doesn’t have a plan, he was just trying to keep Uncle Jesse from worrying and Bo snaps that now he’s got Bo twice as worried. Bo gets an idea to find the thieves and Luke asks what they would do then. Not having any other idea, he agrees.

Police Department

Boss and Rosco look at the cards and Boss says they will use a handful of the cards to have the boys arrested and he wants to sell the rest to a group he knows in Atlanta. Rosco asks how much he would make and Boss says he’ll get 50% of 50% after they deduct 50% from the 100% for expenses. Rosco writes it down before saying he would only get with 12.5% and Boss says that he meant of the gross, not the net. Boss then calls Mabel, who refuses to help him until he says please and addresses her as Miss Tillingham, to get him a number of 555-2555. Boss tells Rosco this is spreading like chicken pox.

Road

The black car and the General pass each other. The black car follows the General. Bo spots it and asks Luke if he remembers how Rosco found them first adding they don’t need to find the bad guys now. Luke looks in surprise and tells Bo that he thinks ‘that they think that we got what we ain’t got’. Bo continues to drive but the black car pulls up and starts ramming into the General. Luke says they can’t take much more and Bo suggests they make like General Grant and retreat before slamming on the breaks. Bo drives away in reverse, Luke asking if it’s a good idea and Bo telling him he has a plan. However a truck comes up the road behind them and Bo is forced off the road, putting the back tire in a ditch. Unable to escape, the two men stop and catch them. Luke and Bo explain that they gave the credit cards to the Sheriff. Clark agrees to call and confirm, threatening to shoot the boys if they are lying.

Police Department

Boss agrees to a price, selling the cards before hanging up the phone. Rosco and Boss hear banging and call Cletus in to ask what is going on. Cletus explains that Lulu is remodeling Boss’ office. Furious Boss goes to see Lulu and Daisy moving some furniture with female movers. Boss protests what they are doing and Lulu reminds him that ‘what’s yours is her’s and what’s her’s is ours.’ Boss protests but is ignored as Rosco helps Lulu with the furniture. When he notices Daisy, Boss asks what she is doing there and Lulu and Daisy explain Daisy works for Lulu at twice the pay, to which Rosco congratulates her. Boss insists running business is men’s work but Lulu explains it isn’t anymore. Boss and Lulu fight and Cletus comes in to say there is a phone call for the Sheriff from Atlanta. Rosco and Boss leave to take the call and Lulu, Daisy, and Cletus continue to move Lulu in.

Bus Stop

Bo and Luke are held at gun point by Dickens while Clark talks to Rosco on the phone, pretending to be a reporter from Atlanta. Rosco goes to confirm the story but Boss take the phone, given the men Bo and Luke’s names and telling them that the boys still have the cards. When they hang up, Bo and Luke attack the two men, knocking one out and trapping the other in the booth before grabbing the General, which had been brought to the bus stop with them, and speeding away.

Police Department

Boss wonders how the newspapers in Atlanta already knew about it, accusing Rosco of blabbing. Rosco says it wasn’t’ him and Boss says they need to be careful on moving the cards to Atlanta. Rosco suggests that there might be a road block. Boss suggests using Rosco’s vehicle and Rosco protests but gives in. Boss tells Rosco to get a paper bag to move the cards into.

Road

Luke stops and tells a confused Bo that those men think they have the credit cards and they won’t stop looking for them. Bo says that isn’t new and Luke says what is new is they know their names now so all they have to do is look them up in the phone book. Bo tries to call Jesse or Daisy to warn them, but Jesse is sharpening an ax and doesn’t hear.

Bus Stop

Clark and Dickens get up and look up the Duke Farm in the phone book before leaving.

J.D. Hogg Used Cars

Boss and Rosco arrive at the used car lot where they find Murkin and send him away for a long coffee break. Rosco asks why they had to come out to the used car lot and Boss says because they couldn’t put the cards in the police cars door panel at Cooter’s. Rosco says it’s brilliant and asks where Boss saw that. Boss admits he saw it in a movie and Rosco asks if they were crooks. Boss admits they might have been.

Road

The boys try to call Jesse again but still get no response.

J.D. Hogg Used Cars

Boss and Rosco finish with the door and leave to get lunch in Boss’ car. Rosco asks if the cards will be safe but Boss says they are in Rosco’s car on his car lot and there is nothing safer than that. Rosco asks to join Boss for lunch and Boss agrees, implying Rosco will pay for them both.

Duke Farm

Jesse continues to sharpen the ax when Dickens and Clark arrive. The two men walk up to Jesse, who pauses in surprise and take his ax. Clark shoots at the guard to prove they are serious. They ask for the cards and Jesse says that Rosco has it. They threaten to hurt Jesse for it. Bo continues to call for Jesse and they hear it. The men answer Bo, informing him and Luke that they have Jesse and they want their cards. Bo protests that Rosco and Boss will sell the cards himself and Jesse back Bo up. Clark says it really doesn’t matter who has the cards, that they have one hour to get the cards and bring them to the Farm of they will kill Jesse.

Road

Luke and Bo are upset. Bo says they need to go and Luke says that by stealing the cards from Rosco they are breaking the law. Bo asks if he has another idea and Luke says no but they will nail those guys.

Town of Hazzard

While driving down the street, Rosco notices that a number of businesses have been renamed to reflect Lulu’s joint ownership. Boss becomes upset saying she is stealing it. Rosco wonders if there is any room for him in Lulu’s organization and Boss gets annoyed.

J.D. Hogg Used Cars

Daisy and Lulu rename the used cars lot to add her part in the name and assures Murkin that he will still have his job. Lulu tells Abigale, the painter, to meet them at the Truck Company when she’s done. As they go to leave, Sheriff Little arrives looking for a new police car. Lulu offers Rosco’s car. Murkin tries to stop her from the sale, but Lulu and Daisy silence him and offer to repaint the car and deliver it to Chickasaw. Little is concerned at first, but agrees to the deal. Lulu and Daisy agree to paint it and deliver it that afternoon.

Police Department

Bo and Luke sneak into the Sheriff’s office through the window. Bo is worried about what Uncle Jesse would do and Luke opens the bag saying Bo doesn’t need to worry as there is nothing to steal. Luke tells Bo that they have a half hour, that Bo needs to find Boss and Rosco along with the cards while he has Cooter take him and the empty sack to the farm. He says it might by them time and Bo agrees.

J.D. Hogg Used Cars

Boss and Rosco arrive at the car lot and learn that Lulu and Daisy sold Boss’ patrol car. Boss calls Lulu and tells her to bring the car back. Lulu refuses as a deal was made and she will honor it. Lulu and Daisy continue toward Chickasaw. Boss and Rosco become enraged and head after her. Bo, seeing the whole thing, calls Murkin over who explains what he knows to Bo. Bo realizes that the cards are in Rosco’s patrol car.

Duke Farm

While waiting for the boys, Clark taunts Jesse but he tells them they don’t know Bo and Luke. He says the boys know what they got to do and they will do it, one way or another.

Road

Cooter and Luke head toward the farm and Cooter tells Luke he wouldn’t miss this for the world. Luke says they have ten minutes left and Cooter says they are five minutes away. The truck in front of them loses its load on the road, Cooter avoiding all the oil drums. Luke tells the driver what happened and they keep driving. Bo call Luke on the CB and informs them about Lulu and Daisy selling Rosco’s car. Luke asks what that has to do with anything and Bo says that he thinks the cards are in the car. Luke says for Bo to get to Daisy and Lulu first, but Dickens and Clark hear the whole thing and leave, leaving Jesse tied up.

Town of Hazzard

Rosco and Boss arrive in town to take Cletus’ car. Rosco tells Cletus that his car was sold and Boss tells him to find another car and follow. Cletus asks that they aren’t going to sell his.

Duke Farm

Jesse and Cooter arrive an untie Jesse. Jesse tells them that Daisy and Lulu are in danger. Cooter says they need to call the girls and Jesse says the men are mean. Luke and Jesse in the pickup and Cooter follows in his truck.

Road

Luke calls Bo over the CB and Bo asks how their uncle is. Luke says he’s fine and they are together but the men went after Daisy and Lulu. Bo switches to the police channel as does Luke. Luke tells Daisy what is going on. Boss, Rosco, and Little all overhear the conversation. Daisy calls to tell them she is on Cottonwood road heading south and the men caught up. Bo tells them he is almost there, at the Cottonwood and Sand Ridge Intersection.

Cletus joins the search and tells Rosco he’s currently beside him on Flatbottom Road. Rosco swerves to avoid a horse car and jumps, landing on Cletus’ car. They decide to have Cletus steer and Rosco navigate. They avoid two accidents doing so.

The two men overtake Daisy and Lulu and pull them over. They all four get in the patrol car and leave. Down the road Jesse calls Bo and Bo informs them that he just spotted them. Clark calls Bo and tells him he has Daisy and Lulu and to back off. Luke tells Bo to meet him on route 66 before they change the CB channels to 33. Luke tells Bo to hang back. He says he’s going to Dry Creek and will cut them off at Hidden Pines.  Bo agrees.

Boss, Rosco, and Cletus continue to drive. Boss is worried about Lulu and Daisy. Luke comes up on them and goes around the stacked cars. Cletus drives under a tree, knocking Rosco off of Cletus and allowing them to be separate again. Boss and Rosco see a Chickasaw Patrol car, and thinking it’s Lulu and Daisy, force it off the road to stop it. However it is Sheriff Little.

Bo meets up with Luke and they fall in behind the car with Daisy and Lulu. Dickens leans out the window to shoot at the boys but Lulu rolls it up, trapping him. Cooter pulls out onto the road, allowing Daisy to punch Clark in the face and knock him out. Daisy takes over driving and Cooter helps her bring the car to a stop. As the door is opened, the stolen credit cards fall out of the door.

Balladeer: Now that’s pretty slick, even for Hazzard. The stolen credit cards was returned to the bank. Cash or credit cards, you get what you pay for. And Bo and Luke was cleared and free, while Clark and Dickens will be paying for the next ten years. Boss was paying through the nose too. Not only wouldn’t Sheriff Little let Boss off the hook for Rosco’s patrol car that Lulu sold him, but Boss also had to pay for all the repairs on Little’s own car. And this was the least of his problems. Like I said before, your typical laid-back Hazzard day.

Cooter and Jesse get out of their vehicles. Luke helps Lulu out and Bo helps Daisy out.

Police Department

Clark and Dickens are locked up by Cooter. Dickens grabs Cletus’ keys and gives them back to him.

Boar’s Nest

Running for commisoner

The Boar’s Nest is closed for a private party. Multiple people are dancing while Cooter watches. Bo and Luke each have a young dance partner. Lulu quiets everyone and explains she is throwing the party for two reasons. The first is a thank you to the Dukes for saving her life, which Rosco leads the clapping for. They announce the second reason is she if formally announcing her intention to run for County Commissioner of Hazzard. Boss is furious while everyone else cheers.
